About the Author
Josh Griffin
At school in ‘careers advice’, when asked what he wanted to do for work Josh answered proudly, “I’m going to be a diver!” When eventually his teacher had stopped laughing; he was told “You’ll never manage that; you’ll be lucky to get a job sweeping streets.” This made Josh even more determined not to fit into the normal pigeonholes of a bigoted grammar school in the early 1970’s.
Over the next few years, he found himself to be in the right place at the right time meaning he could exploit his good fortune and was ultimately able to prove them all wrong. He did eventually become a commercial diver, working in both the inshore civil engineering and offshore oil fields around the world. Later he would manage diving projects as well as teaching commercial diving and underwater inspection techniques to a wide range of clients both in the UK and overseas.
Upon retirement, Josh decided that, having written a number of instructional texts and technical manuals, he should try his hand at writing books, deciding to attempt a little fiction. Death in Dartmouth is the result.
